Our team shares their absolute FAVES of the week. What are your faves? Share with us in the comments below!
I am loving this T-shirt my friend gave me for vacationing. It pretty much sums up my happy place and it has become my go to lazy morning shirt.
It is one of the softest t-shirts I have ever owned! The sleeves are the perfect length (as in they don’t cut you off at the fattest part) and the neckline is a not-too-scoop neck but nowhere near a crew neck. (From Old Navy)
My fave of the week is Innisfil Beach Park. I took a day trip there on the weekend with my cousins and it was wonderful! Only an hour drive out of the city yet you feel like you’re on vacation. The water is beautiful and clear, and there are secluded beach spots to take over if you don’t want to be parked up next to a bunch of families. Most definitely a great place to refresh on a hot summer Saturday 🙂
I’ve been watching the Youtuber Casey Neistat for years now and have always enjoyed his videos. This week he uploaded one that especially resonated with me, featuring a blind Youtuber, Molly Burke. The video follows Casey living the life of a blind person for a few short hours and shows how incredibly hard it is. Despite this, Molly Burke shows how you can persevere and still have an extremely positive outlook on life. I recommend watching it for yourself:
My Friday fave is Al Gore’s sequel to An Inconvenient Truth: Truth to Power. The first Inconvenient Truth had a huge impact on me and made me look more closely at my carbon footprint. This sequel is already getting positive reviews. In a world where there is so much divide, I hope a film like this can help people understand (if it doesn’t change their way of thinking) that the Earth belongs to everyone and we are all responsible for taking care of it. Opens everywhere August 4.
My latest DIY beauty project has been my favourite so far this summer- Rosewater spray. Because it’s been particularly hot and muggy outside, my skin has been acting all sorts of cray. When I learned that I could make something myself that would help maintain my skin’s pH balance, hydrate and tone, I was on it. There are even more benefits that I didn’t know about before. Rosewater has anti-oxidant and anti-bacterial properties. It helps heal cuts and scars. It helps fight dermatitis and eczema. Need I say more?
Check out the vid below so you can make some for yourself. It’s super easy and budget friendly! I spritz my face before bed and sometimes during the day to give my face a dewy, hydrated and refreshed look.
