Our team shares their absolute FAVES of the week. What are your faves? Share with us in the comments below!
The world tragically lost another great artist this week – Chester Bennington. Mental health issues are a cruel and unrelenting beast, so my Friday fave is his music and how it gets me through a tough day.
Linkin Park has always been one of my go-to’s for my “heavy” energy release. You know those days where you’re a little bit stressed, wound up, or that general bad juju day?
My go to song is Numb, I put my headphones on, crank the song up and belt it out in my head. While doing this I go for a run or I hit up the weight machines and just work out that bad energy.
So thank you Chester and Linkin Park for being my personal therapist and for making some seriously kick ass music, you will be missed.
If you ever have one those days I recommend listening to the below, and in this order
It’s a good 10 min intense workout for me to clear my head. And remember if those bad days are far greater than the good, you are not alone and there are people to help
My fav of the week is the dance troop, Army of Sass!
I just discovered them on Instagram and I’m in love with their sassy dance performances. My new obsession is watching them strut their confidence in their videos.
They do a couple of shows a year in Toronto and I love that they are all about female empowerment! I might just sign up in the fall 😉
Lush Silky Underwear Dusting Powder
Lately, I’ve been taking the Heel/Toe Express around the city (rather than drive) to sneak in some extra fitness. But even though the fresh air is nice, my upper thighs getting red and sore from rubbing together from the summer heat is not. Personally I like it hot AF in the summer and I love my shorts and skirts, so I quickly found a great way around my “chafing issues” when I picked up the Lush Silky Underwear Dusting Powder. It absorbs excess moisture likes a boss and leaves your skin soft, silky and velvetty, protecting your skin from any irritation. The Jasmine scent is what you can image an exotic faraway princess would smell like and it’s multi purpose- dust it all over your hair, clothes, shoes and of course upper thighs. Best kept in your purse at all times until October.
My Friday Fave? Canadian Fashionista via Instagram. I have a couple crush and I’m not afraid to say it! Amber and her hubby Derek are incredibly funny and oh so cute! They make me want to move to London, ON. 😉
This week my cousins and I tried this new restaurant called, The Slip. Located in one of my favourite neighbourhoods in Toronto – The Harbourfront! This place is right by the water, has a great easy atmosphere and delicious eats! It’s a must try 🙂
