My fave of the week has to be Deciem, The Ordinary Brand. I’ve been using the Lactic Acid and Hyaluronic Acid for the last few weeks and it has slowly cleared up my skin and prevented new pimples from appearing. I have also found it has made my acne scars a bit lighter, so hopefully that continues! Plus, this line is SO affordable – both of these bottles were under $7 each.
This week I have wracked my brain for a Friday favourite. My first instinct was Jimmy Kimmel’s monologue on Las Vegas, but then I thought, no that’s not right for this platform, I am the fluffy makeup girl. I bounced between viral videos, books, my latest snack obsession but they just never felt right. My mind kept going back to Jimmy. Then I watched Trevor Noah’s piece on the tragedy and that was it (he pointed out the absurdity that the news is focussing on hotel security). My first instinct never leads me astray. Things in this world need to change, history has to stop repeating itself. Jimmy named names and that makes him my favourite this week.
My fave this week is the Inglot Aquastic Cream Eyeshadow. At first I was kind of weary – because what kind of eyeshadow comes in a tube? BUT, I was pleasantly surprised. It’s so easy to apply and just as easy to rub off. The formula is dewey and made my eyes really pop. It’s a different look than I’m used to but I’m totally going to keep using it.
I’m usually against all things pumpkin spice – but I love my cereal. I saw the Mini Wheats Pumpkin Spice flavour on the shelf and decided to give it a try. Oh boy, it’s like Fall served in a bowl of milk. They’re limited edition so you may want to stock up now 😉
I’m loving Cocoon Apothecary Ancient Mud Facial Mask. This is a new addition to my weekly beauty ritual. I’ve always heard about the many benefits of clay and Dead Sea mud so I was excited to find this at the Mindful Beauty event and bring it home with me. It’s best applied to a wet face and then waiting until dry. I wanted to soak in extra nourishment so I applied in the shower and let the steam work its magic. I was pleasantly surprised with how soft my skin felt. Can’t wait to use it again. LOVE!
