On Tuesday November 15th, I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the 13th annual Zareinu Fashion show. The red carpet affair, hosted by Canadian fashion icon Jeannie Beaker, was filled with fashion and glamour in order to raise awareness, as well as funds, for the Zareinu organization.
Zareinu Educational Centre is a school and treatment centre for children with physical and developmental challenges. Founded in 1989, Zareinu has been helping a wide variety of children in and around the Toronto area for over 25 years. (Zareinu).

The organization has shaped the lives of many children and has helped them succeed well beyond doctor’s expectations.
A mother of a child who attended Zareinu states:
“Zareinu provided the foundation for the success in life that my daughter is enjoying today. Their approach helped develop her physical abilities, while various therapy based programs helped develop her social, Speech and academic learning skills”
The show was truly inspiring, giving a special tribute to Barbara Fenton, a speech pathologist for over 40 years, helping a multitude of children with special needs.
After the opening speeches, the show began with runway models strutting their stuff wearing gorgeous clothing and makeup by MAC.
The children of Zareinu then got their chance up on the runway. They were absolutely darling and walked with such poise. The children also brought some spunk while posing at the end of the runway — with my cousin stopping to do the popular “dab” dance move!
I am so honoured to have been able to attend and hope to not only attend future events, but also get involved within the organization.
