Taking time for yourself may seem almost impossible in the world we live in. We are a generation of multitaskers always juggling several tasks at once, and we are all guilty of getting caught up in the hustle! Sunrype wants to remind us to relax and slow yourself down, enjoy life.
Morning Meditation
Make time for yourself in the morning and get a kickstart to your day in a way that’s great for your mental health and will prepare you for the busy schedule ahead. Making a little change like waking up a bit earlier to meditate for 5-10 minutes before you start your day, can help you embrace the rest of the days tasks.
Visit the Park
Visit the park and immerse yourself in nature, maybe even put your phone down. Breathe in the fresh air and ground yourself. If you are cooped up in an office all day this is the best medicine, it is an easy way to relax your whole body and your mind.

Find a new book you are interested in or ask a friend for recommendations! Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to finish it, you probably won’t have time to. But just enjoy it while you can and forget about the world for a bit.
Run or Bike
Now that the weather is warming up, make use of the sunshine and go for a bike ride or run, get your blood pumping! Nothing makes you feel less stressed and wound up than exercise plus, the sun rays will help you get that much needed Vitamin D Fix!
Journal
Start putting time aside to journal events you feel are noteworthy. It is a great way to reflect on your emotions and document the important events in your life. You’ll feel refreshed and your mind will be more clearly focused on your goals.
Happy Playlist
Make yourself a playlist of upbeat songs that you love to sing and dance to, even songs that put a smile on your face. You know, those old Black Eyed Peas songs that you can’t help but shake your butt to. Listen to this playlist while you get ready in the morning or on your way to work, it will brighten up your day and you can listen while you multitask, giving you the illusion of YOU time.
Listen to a Podcast
Get yourself motivated by finding a podcast series you enjoy and listening to it while heading to work or walking from place to place. You’ll feel like you are using your time to your advantage and will have a more positive look at your commute.
Put Your Phone Down and Start Talking
A great way to relax is to put your phone down and immerse yourself in conversation with the people around you. This is such an easy way to de-stress and connect with the people you love and appreciate.
Take a Bath
One of the easiest ways to relax is by taking a hot bath and having a glass of wine. Red or white, it doesn’t matter. But, bubbles? Yes, Please! No one can deny the therapeutic nature of a bubble bath and an your fave beverage.
Beverage Break
If you can take a short break – even for 5 minutes, pour yourself a refreshing drink and pretend you’re on vacation on a beach somewhere. This will you unwind and boost your mood…maybe even get you thinking about a getaway.
