Lately, I’ve been craving frozen treats and I’ve been sneaking over to my nearest gelato vendor on a regular basis. BUT, it’s been taking a toll on my funds and to be honest, all the calories aren’t beneficial to the summer bod that I’ve been working so hard on since the beginning of spring.
Summer treats are mandatory in my life so I played around with some items in my fridge to find an alternative. I managed to create these Fruity Mango Slimsicles which totally satisfy my chilled treat cravings. I love that these can be made and enjoyed in the comfort of my apartment and have WAY less calories.
The recipe doesn’t take much. A handful of sliced strawberry and kiwi, chunks of juicy mango and my current favourite summer beverage, SunRype Slim Tropical Mango. Best of all, this recipe is low-calorie, thanks to the SunRype Slim because it happens to have only 10 calories per serving and 1 gram of sugar. Plus, there’s no aspartame taste because there is none! A huge low-calorie win in my books. This bevvie also doesn’t include any artificial colours or flavours. These Fruity Mango Slimsicles are so easy to create! Let me show you how to make them:
Fruity Mango Slimsicles
Serves: 6
Prep time: 15 mins + 3-4 hours for freezing
INGREDIENTS
- 1 Mango, cut into cubes
- 1c SunRype Slim Tropical Mango Beverage
- 1 Kiwi, thinly sliced
- 2 Strawberries, thinly sliced
ITEMS NEEDED
- 6 Popsicle sticks
- Popsicle mold
- A freezer 😛
FIRST:
Blend your SunRype Slim Tropical Mango and mango cubes in a blender until pureed.
THEN YOU:
Add your fruit slices to your popsicle mold. You can separate the fruit into different ones or mix them up. It’s up to you!
ONCE THAT’S DONE, YOU:
Place a popsicle stick into each mould and freeze your popsicles for 3-4 hours until they’re solid.
WHEN THEY’RE FULLY FROZEN:
Run them under warm water to remove from the mould and ENJOY.
