Regardless of your taste preference these canned cocktails are perfect for any cooler…on the beach or on a boat. Keep reading to see which ones were a hit!
Voted Overall Favourite: Georgian Bay Cranberry Gin Smash $2.95
We loved this Canadian made Gin Smash. It was the perfect cocktail in a can, refreshing and light with a natural taste. It has 5% alcohol and costs $2.95 per can at the LCBO. Some of us went into testing this beverage knowing we didn’t like gin, but overall we all enjoyed it and agreed it was our favourite. You should give it a try!

Crowd Pleaser: Palm Bay Mimosa Strawberry Grapefruit $3.15
We enjoyed the Palm Bay Mimosa in flavour Strawberry Grapefruit. This pre-made cocktail is the perfect flavoured mimosa. It is made with sparkling wine, tart grapefruit and sweet strawberry and has an alcohol content of 7%. It costs $3.15 per can and can be bought at the LCBO. Palm Bay Mimosas also come in the flavour Blood Orange Mango, which we can’t wait to try!
“Ohh, the flavours are coming through very nicely in this drink. I like that it is tart but still sweet. I can definitely taste the champagne- in a good way!” -Joseline
“I could only have a couple of these, I find Palm Bay drinks a bit sugary for me but I enjoyed this!” -Yllen

Voted Least Favourite: Ace Hill Pineapple Vodka Soda $3.15
Crafted from organic pineapple juice this cocktail is bottled in a natural state to preserve as much flavour as possible. With a percentage of 4.5% and bold citrusy flavours, they cost $3.15 per can at the LCBO. This was our least favourite out of the 8 we tried because we didn’t love the flavours. You may be into it if you like the taste of organic pineapple juices though!

“If you can ignore the smell, the taste isn’t that bad. It definitely isn’t my favourite but I can appreciate that they are trying to use natural processes in the making of this drink” -Leandra
Palm Bay Mango Pineapple Vodka Soda 6 cans for $13.55
The Palm Bay Mango Pineapple Vodka Soda is a refreshing, aromatic and tropical twist on a vodka soda. It is sold in packs of 6 (355ml each) and comes in 2 other flavours; Blueberry Acai and Tangerine Lime. This was our 3rd favourite! It tastes like a ready to go cocktail in a can.
“Mmm, It smells like a tropical candle from Bath and Body Works!” -Leandra
“It’s pretty good, but I would definitely enjoy it more with some ice” -Yllen
“I could drink this on a nice day! But, I could see this drink being way too sugary after a couple of them. It isn’t as light and bubbly as other vodka sodas I have tried.” -Gracie

Cottage Springs Distillery Vodka Soda $2.75
This vodka soda is made with premium vodka and crafted in small batches with subtle flavours of lemon and lime! Overall, a very refreshing beverage but we found it tasted a bit flatter than the other vodka sodas and the flavouring seemed artificial. Buy it for $2.75 at the LCBO, it has an alcohol percentage of 5%!
“There’s not much of a smell to it! Now, that is a true vodka soda” -Gracie

“Not fizzy enough, it tasted artificially flavoured as well. But I don’t dislike it!” -Joseline

Nutrl Citrus Vodka Soda $2.90
Nutrl Citrus Vodka Soda takes the simplest approach to vodka soda making. without adding carbs, sugar and sweetener they created this cocktail with 3 simple ingredients: Citrus, Vodka and Soda. It gives a fresh flavour with a clean, delicate finish. The alcohol content in this beverage is 5% and it can be bought at the LCBO for $2.90.
“The can is a bit too big, I’d almost like it more if it was in a small can like the Palm Bay or Cottage Springs vodka soda!” -Leandra
“I don’t feel like this drink has enough lemon, it could use a fresh lemon as a garnish”

Mott’s Clamato The Works Caesar $2.40
Mott’s Clamato The Works Caesar is an addition to the classic Mott’s Clamato Caesar, made with spices, horseradish, hot sauce and vodka. This limited edition crowd pleaser was a refreshing take on a classic cocktail that is 5% and $2.40 a can.
“I’ve never really tried a Caesar before, and I don’t mind it. A bit spicy though!” -Joseline
“It tastes just like a premium Caesar you would get on a patio sometime this summer, just add the garnishes yourself” -Gracie
“This is more like it, what a classic. It would be better in a glass with all the right garnishes though” -Yllen
