I’m literally the worst at shopping for gifts for people over the holidays, mainly because I get so distracted by things that I want. My Friday fave this week is one of those distractions. I popped into Indigo hoping to pick up a nice smelling candle or book for my friend, when I was distracted by this beauty. I’m obsessed with horoscopes and the zodiac, so when I saw this gold zodiac necklace on sale, I HAD to have it. Needless to say, I’ve been wearing it ever since, and no, I have not yet found the perfect gift for my friend…

My Friday Fave this week is the book Wise Cocktails: The Owl’s Brew Guide to Crafting & Brewing Tea-Based Beverages. Wise Cocktails offers fresh-brewed tips for mixing your very own tea-based cocktails. The small book actually has 100 recipes including recipes with loose-leaf tea as well as Owls Brew Signature Tea blends. There are even recipes for tea smoothies, sodas and tea infused snacks. I love this book because it puts a healthy spin on cocktails, and since I worked as a bartender for years, I understand the amounts of sugar that go into regular drinks and am looking to avoid that whenever I can. If you appreciate a creative cocktail with a more natural taste this book is worth taking a look.

I’m a big fan of The Body Shop’s Felt Eyeliner. Even though the star stamp is not for me, I really like how smooth and easy it goes on. Hint, hint at anyone still looking for a last minute gift for me 😉

Swiss Chalet should really be my Friday Fave every week, because I am truly in love. But this week I found out that Swiss Chalet restaurants are about to get a big makeover and I am all for it. They are rebranding and making the restaurants look a lot more modern. Maybe I’ll start dining in more instead of taking out with their new sleek aesthetic!

Lately, I’ve been seeing the trailer for the upcoming Ocean’s 8 movie on social media and I can’t wait to see it in theatres. I loved all of the Ocean’s movies (I have a strange fascination with silver fox George Clooney :P) and when I saw that this new release features an all-star female cast, I was STOKED! It’s going to be about Danny Ocean‘s sister (Sandra Bullock), who also happens to be a master thief who rolls with a girl gang of criminals that plan a heist at the Met Gala in NYC.
Powerhouses Sarah Paulson, Mindy Kaling, Sandra Bullock, Rihanna, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, and Helena Bonham Carter will all be starring - Need I say more? It will be out in theatres June 2018.
