As we head into the holiday season and closer to Christmas, finding the perfect gift for everyone close to you will be on the top of your list. Over the last couple of years, I’ve figured out a way to find these gifts with ease and have managed to get everyone on my list done and wrapped by the beginning of December. How may you ask? Shopping early. I usually tend to scope out ideas online by checking out some of my favourite retailer’s gift guides like Saks Fifth Avenue or Intermix and then it’s pretty much a done deal. These stores have major sales around Cyber week and Black Friday, which helps me finish shopping for my gifts early with a click of a finger.
Don’t get me wrong, finding the right gifts can be tricky! What do you get the person that has it all? Or what can you give that’s completely one-of-a-kind? That’s why shopping early helps as it gives you ample time to find just the right gift without getting overwhelmed.
Personally I think the perfect Christmas gift should be something from the heart and has meaning. This doesn’t necessarily have to be expensive either; just something that you’ve put a lot of thought into. For example, my boyfriend is such a huge sports fanatic so I’ll keep it in mind if he mentions wanting to go to a game throughout the season and look for tickets early.
Throughout today’s post I am going to share some of my favourite gift ideas for the holiday season that I think are perfect for anyone on your Christmas list, from your family, to that special someone and for anyone in between.
As some of you already know, I am an accessories kind of girl. As much as I love clothing, I love how complete an outfit looks when adding the perfect accessory. Baublebar and Olive and Piper are two of my favourite go-to’s for that. Gifting anything like this or this would pair perfectly with a little black dress for the holidays or compliment a sparkly dress for new years (see how much I think ahead?).
A couple of mutual friends of ours also bought a home this past summer. These stunning coffee table books (here + here) were essentially the perfect gift. What I love especially is that this book comes signed by the author. Perfect for any fashionista!
I also found some great stocking stuffers when Sephora had their huge beauty sale. These cute beauty products are always an added bonus to any gift, and I can’t live without the beauty blender. It’s been my go-to since I switched from a makeup brush this past summer.
Another favourite is the Kerastase gift set. Having healthy, luxurious hair is definitely what we all strive for in the dead of winter. I’ve been using the Nutritive line religiously and found my hair is healthier and shinier so this would be a wonderful gift to give. And how pretty is their holiday packaging? 🙂
Comfy, soft pjs are also great, especially when they come in plaid or some sort of festive colour! Select Victoria Secret one’s come with a pair of free slippers (love these)! I couldn’t resist picking up a pair for myself, which I should have known was pretty inevitable! This happens often when I shop for gifts, I find something for someone and then I find something for myself like these ray-bans… Too many sales, but how can one complain? It’s almost like a two for one. 🙂
