Our team shares their absolute FAVES of the month What are your faves? Share with us in the comments below!
Food:
–Chubby’s Jamaican Kitchen: I recently went to Chubby’s Jamaican Kitchen and ordered their famous Jerk Chicken. It was some of the best jerk chicken I’ve ever had, and the rice and peas with Oxtail gravy was unreal! Give it a try if you’re a Toronto foodie like me. 😉

–Assembly Chef’s Hall: Absolutely obsessed with the Steak Tacos at the Colibri location at Assembly Chef’s Hall! They make the tortillas right in front of you and melt the cheese on the tortilla. It. Is. So. Good.
–Smirnoff Sourced Watermelon Vodka: I bought a bottle of this vodka this month, knowing I don’t love flavoured vodkas. I was actually very impressed with how natural it tasted and enjoyed it a lot, I could even drink it on the rocks or watered down with sparkling or flat water.

–Oreo Thins Salted Caramel: My new fave snack is Orea Thins in flavour Salted Caramel. They are the perfect little sugar fix, and I mean little because they are thinner than regular Oreos but still amazing!
Beauty:
–Ocean Pacific Summer Breeze Body Mist: This is the perfect summer body mist for someone who doesn’t like overpowering fragrances and is on a budget. It’s a nice and light scent that reminds me of the beach, and who doesn’t love being reminded of the beach, am I right?
–Becca Liquid Highlight in shade “Champagne Pop”: An oldie but a goodie, Becca Liquid Highlight in Champagne Pop is a very popular highlight! But it can also be used as body highlight, I mix it with my moisturizer or lotion for a more natural look and apply it to my collar bones, legs and arms just to give myself that extra glow! You can even mix it with self-tanner.
–Sundays Nail Polish: I recently received this nail polish in an Ipsy Glam bag in shade Sky Blue. Sundays is a non-toxic, vegan and cruelty-free nail polish brand. After application, I fell in love with the pigment, they have some gorgeous pastels that are all so pretty as well!
TV:
-World Of Dance: Lately, I have been watching World of Dance. I am impressed every week by the level of skill, technique and creativity each dancer and/or team bring to the stage. Plus, I love me some Jennifer Lopez!
Orange Is The New Black Season 6: I’ve been binging the new season of Orange Is The New Black on Netflix and I love it. The season is very relevant to the prison system in our time and the characters face many struggles within the broken system. They even highlight the black lives matter movement very well. I found it enlightening and raw!
-Westworld: Ok, Westworld is a crazy show I don’t even know how to explain to you but I will say it is a science-fiction drama that will keep you fascinated and paying attention to every little detail. The show itself is art, and you can’t help but keep watching. It’s on its third season so if you need a binge-worthy show this is it!
Shopping:
-Ardenes Kendall & Kylie line: I recently bought a red bikini from the Kendall and Kylie line at Ardene. The bathing suit fits well and is pretty cute for an everyday bikini. I wish it came in black but the bold red colour is definitely a show stopper while I’m strutting my stuff on the beach!
-Victoria’s Secret: Victoria’s Secret has an amazing sale on for cute panties right now. 7 for $25 USD on their website. Time to stock up!
-Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale is on till August 5th! Check it out before it ends, there are some amazing deals for your fall wardrobe.
-Town Shoes: Town Shoes has a designer sale going on and they’re selling shoes up to 70% off with an additional 30% in some cases! If you need new designer shoes at discount prices THIS is the place.
Events:
-Farmers Markets: This month I’ve been going to my local farmers market every weekend for fresh veggies and to support our local farmers! Check out your local farmers market today!
-Union Summer: Union Summer-Presented by TD is a celebration of food going on from July 1-August 19th this year to bring together an offering of food, musicians, film screenings and live performances at Union Station. The market showcases ‘Where Toronto is Going’ with a curated mix of local food vendors. Perfect for lunch with the coworkers!
–Toronto Fashion Industry: I loved attending the monthly networking event hosted by The Toronto Fashion Industry, #WhenFashionMeets. This month they featured the Canadian made yoga apparel brand, YogaCulture. It is a great way to meet and mingle with like-minded people in the city!
Music:
-Drakes Scorpion Album: I don’t even need to say anything, this album is perfect for summer 2018. So many sing-along songs! KIKI, DO YOU LOVE ME?!
-Janet Vibes: OMG. Okay, so this isn’t anything new but I have been listening to the old school vibes of Ms. Janet Jackson. I grew up with her music so listening to her brings back those nostalgic memories of dancing the night away!
-God Is A Woman: Ariana Grande is killing it right now. If you haven’t heard her new song “God Is A Woman” yet, I guarantee it will be your new jam. The music video is all about female empowerment and being unapologetically you.
-No Brainer by DJ Khaled, Justin Bieber, Quavo & Chance The Rapper: Summer vibes alert! This song is a banger, because who doesn’t love a little Justin Bieber in the summertime.
