Our team shares their absolute FAVES of the month What are your faves? Share with us in the comments below!
Food:
–Hello 123: I’ve been dying to try this vegan restaurant ever since it opened up earlier this year and it did not disappoint. I tried the ‘Eggs’ Benny which was made with an assortment of tofu and other protein and veggies. Would recommend.
–50 Pesos: Okay, so my favourite food in general is Mexican, specifically tacos. I will try any taco place at least one. My most recent fave is a taco food truck (as well as store location). They have the most delicious and epic tacos. Their Pina Fish Tacos and Mexi Street Friends are GAME CHANGERS! You’ve never had Mexican like this before

–SuperFruit Puree: I recently got the chance to try a Wild Blueberry SuperFruit Puree made by Love Healthy Berries and absolutely loved it. You can use this berry puree as a beverage, topping or ingredient. It is amazing on yogurt, ice-cream, salads, in smoothies and just on its own. This product is full of antioxidants and made in Canada!
–Swiss Chalet: I’m a Swiss Chalet fan through and through. So, whenever they add new items to their menu, I’m all in. But nothing excited me more than when they introduced Crispy Chicken last year (for a limited time) and I’m so excited to know that it’s back. If you haven’t given it a try yet, it’s a must this summer
Beauty:
–Setting Brush: I’m loving the Setting Brush from Real Techniques. You can find it in Walmart or any drug store and it is the perfect brush for youching up makeup throughout the day or settling the undereye or T-zone area. I pack it in my purse and take it with me everywhere.
–Highlighter Palette: I’m at the point in the summer where all I really wear is a bit of concealer, mascara and Highlight, so this Colour Pop In-Nude-Endo Highlighter Palette is my go-to

–Fuzz Perfecting Body Scrub: You can order it directly from their website or pick it up in store. I love the scent and how soft and smooth my body feels after I use it.
TV:
–Queer Eye Season 2: We’ve already included this season in another Friday Faves but honestly we just cannot get over it. We’re obsessed with the Fab 5 and we don’t care who knows it!
–The Crown on Netflix: I’ve really been enjoying season 2, it is giving insight into a quite private life and it is so interesting learning about how the Queen and her family lived, how they grew up, things we never got the opportunity to learn. Princess Margaret is probably my favourite character/member of the royal family. She has such a wild personality but you learn that a lot of it is affected by her lost love.
–Suits: I am still catching up on Suits on Netflix, absolutely LOVE it.
–Meditation Park: A movie about infidelity and tradition, this must-see movie gives hope that no matter how old traditions are, a woman is still strong enough to break through them and find her way, her voice and her SELF! No matter what your age, this movie is one I recommend.
Shopping:
–Zara summer sale: Honestly, I kind of have a low key grudge against Zara, but I will admit that they do have cute pieces. Everything is up to 50% off and that is something I can get behind
–American Eagle Bathers: I bought a scoop neck bikini from American Eagle this month and it has to be my favourite yet. It fits perfect and is on sale too! Their one pieces are an exceptionally good deal – a trendy bather for only $25!
–Old Navy Sale: I am always blown away by the Old Navy summer sale, everything is up to 50% off and great quality. I picked up a bathing suit and a few basic tees and can’t wait to rock them this summer
–Baha Slide: As I try to stay out of the malls, I have to admit that I’ve made some recent purchases. My favourite this month have been the Baha Slide by Avec Les Filles. Super cute nude pink colour and the slide is very in style right now. They take a bit of working in before they are comfortable but they are definitely worth the splurge
–La Vie En Rose: I recently bought this bathing suit, and I never thought I’d love a Bikini with boy shorts but I feel great in it.This bikini is super cute and I don’t feel like I’m showing too much skin, so it is perfect for those days you are on summer excursions! The top is also great because it gives coverage and support and is still super cute
–Tkees: Sandal season has arrived! I’ve been a fan of this brand for the past 5 years so I love when they adds new styles to their collection. This year, I preordered 2 new styles (Alex and Gemma) from their website, only to be disappointed when I got them a size too small. I didn’t do my research and found out too late they they run small. Now I’m waiting for my new pairs to arrive – next year I’ll research and then preorder LOL
Events:
–Vance Joy: I’ve been obsessed with Vance Joy for a while now and finally got to see him this month perform at the Budwiser stage. He is absolutely flawless in person and I can attest he sounds exactly the same as on his album
–Pride: As always, the Pride parade in Toronto was a ton of fun! Celebrating equality was a ton of fun, and plus the boys on the Trojan float weren’t so bad looking 😉

–When Fashion Meets: My favourite even this month is When Fashion Meets, put on by the Toronto Fashion Industry. #WhenFashionMeets is a free monthly networking event that allows creatives among the fashion industry to network and launch their new products and services. The event is held at the Thompson Hotel Lobby Bar and features a fun, diverse crowd.
–Queen’s Plate 2018: It’s this weekend and I can’t wait! From amazing performances, horse racing and tons of vendors and activities, it is a great Canada Dat weekend out. Don’t forget the hats and fancy attire!
Music:
–Everything is Love: The Carters (Beyonce & Jay-Zs new album): This album is a story of complicated love, compromise and ruthless honesty. Plus it’s Beyonce, duh I’m gonna love it
–Kehlani: OMG, my favourite artist right now is Kehlani and her album SweetSexySavage. She has an AMAZING voice and is really singing for all of us girls out there who have ever encountered heartbreak or single girl independence. Her songs give you all the feels and I dare you to find at least one song that doesn’t speak to you personally
–Saturday Sun: This song has probably been in my head for the last 3 months straight and is the perfect Saturday jam. Vance Joy is a true artist and his bohemian-like tunes will be the perfect additional to your summer playlist.
