If you know me, then you’ll know that I am ALWAYS looking for a new show to binge watch. Comedy, reality, adventure, if I can consume it, I’ll probably be watching it! I recently came across the show Ghost BFF, a dark comedy that follows two inseparable, once-BFF’s, Amy and Tara. After receiving a surprise visit from Tara’s ghost on the 3-year-anniversary of her death, Amy’s world is completely thrown off its axis as hilarity ensues when her now ‘ghost-BFF’ returns from the dead. The series aims to tackle taboo topics through quick-witter-banter and cheeky one-liners that any millennial will be able to relate to. The show, featuring many familiar faces launches on actress Elizabeth Banks’ digital platform WhoHaha on March 1st – and I would highly recommend tuning it!

I couldn’t put this book down this week. It is a “true” story of a child soldier in Sierra Leone in the 90’s. It is heartwrenching and fascinating all at the same time. It is hard to imagine that this is happening every day in our world to 1000’s of children. This book is sensationalized and the facts are debated but, all in all, it is still an interesting read and even if just one fact is true, it is a very horrid way for a child to live.
It has fascinated me so much that next on my list is They Fight Like Soldiers, They Die Like Children: The Global Quest to Eradicate the Use of Child Soldiers by Romeo Dallaire and Jessica Dee Humphreys. I would highly recommend this read!

A couple weeks ago I ordered a couple of products online from Colourpop Cosmetics. One, because they are cheap and two, because I’ve heard nothing but good things about their quality. The products did not fall short, but my all time favourite is their new Give It To Me Straight Pressed Powder Palette. The colours are beautifully pigmented and perfect for the upcoming spring months. Full of shimmery purples, pinks, and neutrals. You can use this palette to create daytime looks and nighttime looks, which is something I really look for in a palette. Check it out if you are interested in a pop of colour on a budget.

I recently bought this Ikea Mirror for my dining room and I’m in love with it. The trick with Ikea is you need to mix it with non-ikea furniture – since it’s not super cute to have an Ikea house when you are out of University 😉

This week I’ve been all about moisture. My body is basically in shock from the weather and my skin is in need of some serious hydration, so my go-to is St. Ives Coconut Milk & Orchid Body Lotion. I’ve been using this body lotion for years and I love how refreshed and soft my skin feels after I use it, not to mention the lovely, not too overpowering scent that it comes with. It is suited for anyone with sensitive skin and formulated without Parabens.
