Just because it’s August doesn’t mean we stop celebrating summer. I refuse to bring up the season that follows summer because I am determined to enjoy every last day of this summer heat. An added bonus that comes with the summer season is the delicious summer menus that we are lucky enough to try. Our friends over at Miku Toronto are celebrating summer with exciting new additions to their menu. Over ten new menu items have been meticulously designed to showcase the finest and freshest ingredients, bringing unique and seasonal flavours to the Japanese fine-dining institution.
Miku Toronto’s patio is the ideal location to enjoy their new summer dishes, al fresco. Sustainability remains a priority for Miku Toronto. The new menu items accentuate seasonal, local ingredients paired with fresh, OceanWise™ seafood sourced from Canada’s East and West coasts and speciality selections from Japan – this is not your average sushi spot!
With delicious new menu items like the new Kaiso Seaweed and Heirloom Tomato Salad and the Smoked Soy Grilled Octopus which features fresh ingredients that capture the boldness and culinary innovation that Miku Toronto is known for, these items are sure to be a summer favourite.
In addition, the new Summer Roast Chicken and Lobster Tail dish brings even more diverse flavours to the menu!
Not only will these flavours blow your mind but each dish makes for epic Instagram worthy photos that will have you and your followers drooling! Miku Toronto has also added eight new signature cocktails to their already impressive drink offerings. One of the standouts includes the Homage, crafted with the Miku exclusive Aburi Ginjo sake, green chartreuse, matcha, lime, cayenne and egg white, this cocktail is the perfect compliment to the new summer menu items.
Before you end your night at Miku Toronto you can’t forget about dessert! Be sure to finish things off on a high note, the Ichigo Mochi Dome, designed by Head Pastry Chef Aiko Uchigoshi. This light and refreshing dessert features handmade mochi enveloping the earl grey tea cream atop a walnut brown sugar cookie, paired with fresh mint ice cream, caramelized walnut, strawberry coulis, honey and mint oil. We can’t make this stuff up if we tried, dessert at Miku Toronto is a truly a one-of-a-kind experience!
Their philosophy is Ningenmi, defined as “finding a joy in your life by bringing joy to others”. It is fair to say that Miku Toronto definitely is bringing the joy to others with their delicious food and drink menu and exceptional dining experience. Enjoy something exceptional before the summer is over!
