(CONTEST ALERT!! See down below for details about our awesome Woodlot giveaway)
From sheet masks to dry masks to bubble masks, we’ve tried them all. But lately, We’ve been obsessing over a powder mask on a weekly basis. Some friends at Woodlot recommended their Rejuvenating Green Tea Clay Mask so I went for it and after testing it out for a few weeks, I think I’ve officially converted to powder. Here’s why you might want to try it out:
Active Ingredients and Longer Shelf life
In your typical liquid facial product, the ingredients have already been activated, which is why most only last for 6 months to one year. In a dry powder form, the ingredients become activated when we choose to by mixing it with water. You end up using less so it has a longer shelf life.
Control
Depending on your skin type or skin issues, a powder mask formula allows you to customize your mask. You can mix it with bases other than water like an antibacterial, apple cider vinegar, honey or avocado.
Less chance for irritation
Because the formula is dry, there are almost no preserving or synthetic ingredients that could potentially irritate the skin.
