I am loving the Golden Milk Latte at Calii Love. It contains turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom which all claim to be anti- inflammatory. I am trying extra hard these days not to eat foods that exacerbate my atopic dermatitis and focus on ones that help and this is a definitely yummy way to accomplish that.

And of course just after I say I am trying to be good with my eating habits, key word being try, I have fallen in love with the Red Velvet macarons at Nadege Patisserie. Best part? You can buy them online. God help me, I have so little self control.

I loved The Eco Wells podcast on Green Beauty and Sustainability. It reminds us that just because something is Green does not make it sustainable. It can take 1000’s of pounds of a natural ingredient to make 1lb of a usable ingredient in cosmetics. That is a lot of pressure to put on the earth, a huge carbon footprint, for just a few bottles of an essential oil. The beauty industry isn’t cut and dry though, take a listen and you may just learn a little bit more to make informed decisions in the products you buy.

I recently travelled to Vancouver from Toronto and back and let me tell you, my skin went into shock. From the frigid temperatures of the east to the humid spring like weather of the west my poor alligator skin doesn’t know whether it is to come out and shine or hibernate. Shea Moisture’s African Black Soap Soothing Body Lotion has been a saviour in keeping my skin happy. It sinks in completely so no need to worry about getting dressed after and renacting the scene of Ross and the leather pants. It contains Shea Butter, Oats and Aloe Vera and I will defintiely be repurchasing.
