Isn’t it true that when you feel good, you look good? It’s incredible how our psyche can affect our lives, not to mention our closets. Have you ever caught yourself saying, “I look like crap today” or “I have nothing to wear?” We’re all guilty of this one way or another and it’s time to flip the switch.
Today, I wanted to share some fool proof solutions that I apply daily to get myself ready to conquer each day! Trust me, I’ve had days where I felt burnt out or just didn’t want to get out of bed, but I’ve learned ways to turn those negative vibes into positive ones.

1. TREAT YOURSELF
When you work hard, don’t be afraid to treat yourself. These can be the smallest of things. I personally love treating myself to a weekly manicure or a hair trim. When you are treating yourself you are taking care of your image & are also giving yourself the respect and care it deserves. There’s no way you would down talk yourself when you are taking care of yourself. It’s like I mentioned: when you look good, you feel good kind of thing. They both go hand in hand, but you also need some of the steps below to keep that feeling going.
2. EATING HEALTHY
Eating right and feeding your body with healthy nutrients elevates your mood. Nuts, oils, protein and staying hydrated are key elements to keeping you naturally happy and positive, which also gives you energy to take on the day!
3. PUMP UP THE MUSIC
Listen to things that make you feel good! Put on your favourite playlist and blast it. Or listen to things that inspire you. It can be an audio tape from a motivational speaker or a book you wanted to read, but haven’t had the time.
4. CLEAN OUT YOUR CLOSET
Get rid of old, unwanted clothing that has piled up or just isn’t a reflection of who you are or your current job. To have a great jumpstart to the day is going into your closet with an excited feeling and being able to pick out looks without any stress. Donate old items that do not serve it’s purpose and put together looks that will essentially be your ‘uniform’, which is your fashion identity.
5. VISION BOARD
I love being surrounded by things that inspire me. That’s what gets me out of bed and it should be the same for you too! Creating a vision board is fun! Rip out images from magazines that inspire you and put it on the board. It can be fashion, a dream home, mentors etc. Look at it everyday and envision you having or being that. You’ll truly be inspired and pumped to start the day!
