As a content creator it is often easy to run out of cute spots to take photos. Every weekend my boyfriend and I get up early to venture out and create a weeks worth of content. Lately, though, I have been finding it harder and harder to find new spots that not only fit my aesthetic, but look super cool and have some kind of PAZAZZ to add to my photos. I mean, a good back drop can make all the difference – am I right!? Being one of many who suffer from this problem, my blogger girlfriends and I decided perhaps a change of scenery would solve our little issue.
So, off we went to Hamilton, the ‘Brooklyn of Ontario’ as my friend Krystle dubbed it, for a day of content creating. Before heading on our little road trip, we made sure to do lots of research and scope out all of the cute spots. If you are looking for some new Instagram worthy spots, or the perfect mural wall to strike a pose in front of, I got you! Here is a list of some cute spots you can visit in Hamilton that will boost your Instagram feed!

Detour Coffee
This coffee shop is the perfect spot to get your fill of coffee and food flat lays. Even if you’re not into food flat lays, the outside facade of the shop features large windows and a black and white stripped awning. It all felt very chic and classic, perfect for a summer shot on the bench out front enjoying your coffee, or even standing up with a classic beach bike as a prop! Ohhh how the wheels of inspiration started turning!

Hello Baked
This cute bake and confection shop is a must when visiting Hammer Town! Not only is it hard to walk out of this cute shop without buying something (they have everything from cute wrapping paper, to luxury teas, to a candy wall, and peony scented candles), but they also have a great mural wall outside perfect for any Instagram feed. Are you ready to strike a pose?

Motel
Located just down the street from Hello Baked is Motel, a super cute pink and turquoise restaurant modelled after a retro Miami hotel lobby. It was perfect for taking photos with cocktails and was super pink and feminine. Although they appreciate all the attention they receive from bloggers, they do ask that you call ahead and book to come in after hours (after 2PM) as not to disturb other patrons who are eating. A $60/hr fee for using the space as a location shoot will apply.

Redchurch Cafe and Gallery
This cute little coffee shop and gallery is another great pit stop when in Hamilton. The interior features a dark blue wall with a neon pink sign that is a very popular backdrop for photos. I opted in for a shot of our Prosecco glasses and a group shot of my girlfriends and I outside in front of their white facade – super cute!
Three other spots I didn’t get to visit but will totally be going back for:
The Heather
Also located just down the street from Hello Baked is The Heather. Their menu looked delicious and inventive and the aesthetic of the restaurant was white, bright, and perfect for anyone looking to add clean and bright photos to their feed.
The French
This restaurant screams cuteness and reminds me of my beloved Colette in Toronto. It features french bistro chairs on their small patio that would make for perfect shots in the summer and judging from their Instagram it looks like they also serve up some great cocktails and food.
Donut Monster
This donut shop is another great spot for anyone looking to add those drool-worthy food shots to their feed. Not only do their donuts look delicious, but they are super decorative, making them great for some silly ‘donuts over your eyes’ photos and a great souvenir to bring home with you!
Happy Content Creating!
