I don’t know about you guys, but I tend to avoid the cold winter weather at all costs. But, this tends to result in me staying inside my condo on the weekends and feeling like I can’t go out anywhere! To get myself out of the house, one of my favourite things to do is to get cozy at a coffee shop with a vanilla latte, my laptop or a friend, and enjoy the beauty of the snow (from the window & being warm inside lol). I have compiled my top 5 cafes in Toronto which will be perfect to hibernate in this winter, or to visit while you are in the city this season!

1. Le Gourmand (152 Spadina Ave.)
This cafe is probably one of the coziest on the list! With it’s dark wood aesthetic, photo framed filled walls and the best homemade style cookies in the city (even blogto thinks so), you cannot go wrong with this cafe this winter. Even more amazing, they even have Sunday Brunch! Grab a friend, a spouse, or some family this winter and cozy on up at Le Gourmand.

2. Oretta (633 King St. West)
Oretta cafe is known for it’s beautiful interior and its infamous pink wall that is perfectly insta-grammable. But, besides it’s amazing aesthetic, it is a great cafe to hibernate in this winter. Although it has a full restaurant/bar, it also has an oh-so-cute coffee shop tucked in the back with a full upstairs loft - perfect to get some work done. While you are there, make sure you try their Vanilla Latte with soy milk (I promise you will be hooked).

3. Early Bird Coffee & Kitchen (613 Queen St. West)
If you are looking for a bright and minimal feel, EarlyBird Brew is the perfect cafe location this winter. Especially with their to-die-for avocado toast and bright windows, you will instantly snap out of the winter blues.

4. Pantry Rosedale (1094 Yonge St.)
The coolest part about Pantry is that it is a cafe, but also has a full food menu from sandwiches to burgers to vegan options- I swear it is endless! It also has a super cool aesthetic as well, so you won’t be missing out if you want to snap a quick photo to up your instagram-game. What could be better than grabbing some comfort food at a cozy cafe in the winter, am I right?

5. Boxcar Social (1208 Yonge St.)
Last but certainly not least is Boxcar Social. It has a rustic-chic aesthetic, giving you a warm feeling as soon as you walk inside. But, not only is it a coffee bar, it also is a bar-bar, like yes, it serves alcohol too. It’s a win-win situation 😉
