If you were anything like me as a kid, you wouldn’t eat any sandwich that wasn’t Peanut Butter & Jelly. People would tell me, “that’s so boring, try something new!”
Ok….now that I’m in my twenties, I’m ready to switch things up and take this Plain Jane food combo to the next level - in alcoholic form. A Spiked PB & Jealous drink.
It’s nothing fancy. This drink is perfect for anyone who’s hungry and thirsty, all at the same damn time.
Which is me, like everyday.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 tablespoon of Billy Bee Honey
- 1 tablespoon of Kraft Smooth Peanut Butter
- Approximately 6 raspberries
- 2 ounces of Absolut Raspberri Vodka
- 1 ounce Sour Puss Raspberry Liqueur
- 4 ounces Ocean Spray Cranberry Cocktail Juice
- Highball glass… or any tall glass from your cabinet
- Small peanut butter sandwich cut in a square for garnish (I used WONDER Bread)
Let’s make it!
If there’s anything I learned from bartending school, it would be that prepping your garnishes first is KEY. You wouldn’t want to fumble around making your garnish as your cocktail melts and waters down….
So, I would begin with making your itty-bitty PB sandwiches first - to eventually place on the rim of your glass. Have em’ ready!
Which leads me to the next step. Mix your peanut butter and honey in a small bowl until even.
Then take your glass and dip the top rim in the peanut butter-honey mixture until nicely coated.
Drop the raspberries into your glass and muddle them with a spoon.
Add ice.
Time to pour in the Absolut Raspberri Vodka and Sour Puss Liqueur.
Normally, one would use your typical raspberry liqueur in a Peanut Butter and Jam cocktail. But as I was prepping for this, I spotted my cat Hugo (a legit, real-life Sour Puss) and decided this ingredient was meant to be. Plus, it adds a sour kick that I personally love and think you will too.
Next, add you cranberry cocktail juice and stir it up!
Final step: Add your garnish and bottoms up GF 😉
