The other day, I had a few girlfriends over in the backyard for an afternoon get-together. I knew that cocktails were to be expected. Instead of my usual vodka-cran or vodka-soda, I wanted to make something fun and girly for all of us to enjoy.

I remembered the All Pink Limited Edition Starburst Packs that hit the shelves earlier this summer and instantly thought of that quote I saw everywhere on social media….

….and BANG! Inspiration for my girly cocktail
If you’ve never infused your own vodka, try this Starburst Pinktini and prepare to ask yourself “why the F#@% haven’t I done this before?”
Starburst Pinktini Checklist
*Makes 4-6 glasses, depending on how boozy & generous you are 😉
- 2 mason jars (I bought mine from Dollarama)
- 1 ½ cups vodka (we used Polar Ice)
- 5 pink Starburst candies
- 5 red Starburst candies
- 1 ounce lime juice
- 1 ounce Cointreau
- Ice, ice baby!
- Shaker tin
- Toothpicks and extra candies for garnish
Before we begin, I’d like to point out that I made these Pinktinis with the red and pink Starbursts so that I could serve both dark and light shades of pink.
Here’s how you make it:
I poured about ¾ cup of vodka in each jar, tossed in 5 candies and gave them a stir.
Once you seal the lids, set the jars aside to infuse overnight in a cool, dry place.
AND VOILÀ! The next day, you’ll have yourself some sweet and colourful Starburst-infused vodka that’s just begging to make its way into a chilled martini glass.
Next you:
- Pour your infused vodka into a shaker tin
- Fill with ice
- Add your lime juice
- Add the Cointreau
- Shake vigorously and pour into a martini glass
- Garnish with Starburst candies
And that’s how it’s done ladies! Surprise your GFs with some Pinktinis and remind them that they’re SO not the yellow Starburst. Let us know what they thought.
